HEALTH-AID is a public health-oriented project whose aim is to improve the health situation of a selected community in the north of Ghana, a developing country in Africa.
HEALTH-AID wants to create a health post, to be run by local staff with a doctor as a overseer, in collaboration with italian volunteers and other health workers.
The project will educate the communities of Saboba and Chereponi on hygene and health problems in general.
Involvement of local staff will assure continuity and acceptance of the project as community-based, also at the end of the international contribution.
The project will give all the participants the opportunity of experiencing an international atmosphere by working together for a common goal, trying to get to know each culture and society, thus developing cooperation between all countries.
Every year two expeditions will be organized in July-August and November-December.
